I research the underlying genetics of variation in photoperiod in wild sunflower. I am also interested in understanding how new species form. In particular, I study how genetic incompatibilities arise within a species, leading to reproductive isolation, with a focus on interactions between the cytoplasmic and nuclear genomes.
