Dear UVA Postdocs,

The Postdoc Association's Diversity and Community Outreach committee is organizing a group visit to the Albert and Shirley Small Special Collections Library on April 17 between 12-1 PM. Participants will have the opportunity to explore the library's Harlem Renaissance exhibition that features the visionary works of writers, artists, and thinkers of the Harlem Renaissance whose creative and intellectual pursuits reflected the diversity of contemporary discourses that defined Black American identity and political consciousness (more about the collection here).

We invite you to join us if you're available! We'll meet outside the Albert and Shirley Small Special Collections Library at 12 PM to begin our group visit. Afterward, for those interested in a post-exhibit recap/discussion, the Office of Graduate & Postdoctoral Affairs will be providing coffee or your preferred drink at Starbucks.

Please feel free to reach out to Qingguang Zhu at [email protected] if you have any questions or need any accommodations to participate.

Please fill out this Google Form to sign up.
