Professor of Neurology at the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School. Dr. Milner received his doctoral degree from The Rockefeller University, completed postdoctoral training at The Salk Institute, and held faculty positions at Salk, the Research Institute of Scripps Clinic, Penn State College of Medicine, UMass Chan, and the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California, where he served as Senior Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs until June 2023. Dr. Milner has a long-standing interest in the professional development and education of individuals at all stages of academic careers. His background as a basic science researcher in neuroscience and as a former department chair provides a wealth of experience and knowledge about the challenges of advancing an academic career.
